Job Description Public Relations Assistant needed in the Public Relations Department at the Yale University Art Gallery during the school year. The Public Relations Assistant will assist the Director of Public Relations and the Public Relations Coordinator in several aspects of media relations. Responsibilities may include assembling media kits, formatting image sheets and press releases, resizing and reformatting digital images in Photoshop, developing press lists, and archiving press clippings. Additional responsibilities may include monitoring and posting to social media accounts, updating online listings, and maintaining the press contacts database.
Job Requirements Experience using social media, Facebook and Twitter required, Flickr and Foursquare preferred. Knowledge of Adobe InDesign and/or Photoshop preferred and strong organizational and computer skills are expected. A passion for art and getting the word out about the Yale University Art Gallery is important. Position requires availability during normal business hours (8:30-5:00, Mon-Fri) **All candidates applying for jobs at the Art Gallery will be subject to pre-employment screening. Compensation $13.50/hour
