Job Description
With limited supervision and oversight, assist the Department of Emergency Medicine faculty with revising (coding) an existing electronic health technology behavioral screening and intervention tool that will ultimately be tested and integrated into a clinical setting. Also assist in implementation of ongoing research projects, and supporting related research and scholarly activities
Job Requirements
Oversight of revising and refining coding and development of an electronic health technology behavioral screening and intervention tool. The RA will be responsible for revision coding, electronic health technology tool re-design and testing, implementation of revised electronic health technology behavioral screening and intervention tool, participation in and contribution to project related meetings and conference calls, assisting with development of computerized data collection, coding of accurate and complete study data, descriptive analysis of data and dissemination of results to funding agencies, and assuring the electronic health technology behavioral screening and intervention tool is completed in accord with study timeline.This involves creation of electronic data collection and database integration protocols, conducting training sessions of electronic health technology behavioral screening and intervention tool to familiarize staff with health technology tool-use procedures, planning and coordination with staff, identifying obstacles and barriers encountered during study subject enrollment, initial study phases and developing acceptable resolutions to such obstacles as it relates to the health technology tool. Collaborate on design of electronic health technology behavioral screening and intervention tool use and maintenance protocols.Assure that the revised electronic health technology behavioral screening and intervention tool adheres and compliant with U.S. Section 508 standards and W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) for users with disabilities. Certify that the standards of the Human Investigation Committee and HIPAA are being adhered to during use of the electronic health technology behavioral screening and intervention tool in the study. Work with faculty to ensure that Human Investigation Committee protocols are submitted, renewed, and amended as required. Assist faculty with the development of HIC protocols. Track protocol status. Assist with writing and submitting abstracts for presentation at scientific meetings, and with writing and submitting manuscripts for publication. Develop, maintain, and clean electronic database, assisting with data entry as needed. Ensure that data are being entered accurately and efficiently. Perform descriptive statistical analyses using standard statistical software packages (e.g. SPSS or SAS). Education and training 1.Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline, and two years experience, or the equivalent combination of experience and education. 2.Practical or educational facility with critical appraisal of medical evidence and scientific literature. Skills and abilities 1.Working knowledge of and experience with OOP, MS .NET MVC. 2.Solid knowledge of iOS. 3.MS SQL Server experience . 4.Experience creating web view based apps using HTML5, CSS3, Javascript and JQuery. 5.Able to successfully work as a team member, at various levels of organizational responsibility, for different projects.
