Job Description YOU MUST BE A FORESTRY & ENVIRONMENTAL STUDIES STUDENT, ELIGIBLE FOR A STUDENT ASSISTANTSHIP TO APPLY FOR THIS POSITON. Assist with research projects on air pollution and human health. Tasks involve literature reviews, preparation of summary documents, and participation in epidemiological/biostatistical studies regarding data collection; processing, development of analytical methods; and possibly analysis.
Job Requirements Background including coursework in epidemiology and biostatistics. Understanding of environmental exposures and health impacts. Experience with scientific research on environmental exposures and human health endpoints. Experience synthesizing scientific literature and preparing written summaries, including scientific manuscripts and grant proposals. Knowledge of exposure databases (e.g., NHANES) and statistical software (e.g., SAS) required.
